BBC Last Night Of The Proms
The BBC Last Night of the Proms is one of the most famous music events in the world, listened to and watched by millions around the globe. On Saturday, September 11th, the powerful finale of the 2010 BBC Proms season will be broadcast LIVE via satellite from the Royal Albert Hall in London, to select movie theaters nationwide. Presented in Canada by Cineplex Entertainment and BY Experience, under exclusive license from BBC Worldwide.

This year, tradition meets high jinks as Jiří Bělohlávek conducts his second Last Night. Renée Fleming lends her lustrous soprano to music by Strauss, Dvořák and Smetana. Former BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artist Maxim Rysanov gives Tchaikovsky’s popular cello variations a new voice, and loyal Prommers can spot the last traces of the season’s Wood, Parry, Wagner, Rodgers and Hammerstein and opera themes.

Ladies & Gentlemen, The Rolling Stones: The Exile on Main Street American Tour 1972
Ladies and Gentlemen: The Rolling Stones is a concert movie featuring the British rock band The Rolling Stones that was first released in 1974. It was filmed in 16mm by Bob Freeze and Steve Gebhardt (Butterfly Films owned by John Lennon) during 4 shows in Ft. Worth and Houston, Texas during the band’s 1972 North American Tour in support of their classic 1972 album Exile on Main St.

Cineplex Entertainment will premiere the re-mastered concert for a one-night only presentation in cinemas on Thursday September 16th. As an added bonus fans will get to see an exclusive interview with Mick Jagger.

100 Voices: A Journey Home
"100 Voices" will offer a unique and moving look at Polish/Jewish history and culture and highlight its current resurgence. The story is told through the personal reflections and musical performances of a group of Cantors and acclaimed composer Charles Fox who made an important historic mission to the birthplace of Cantorial music. The documentary will give generations the opportunity to learn about and re-embrace the Jewish culture that produced one of the most artistic and educated societies that once flourished in Europe. Above all, the Program will celebrate the resilience and the power of Jewish life, while telling the story of two peoples who shared intertwined cultures.

The Met: Live in HD
The Met’s award-winning series of live, high-definition performance transmissions to movie theaters continues to captivate audiences around the world. In the 2009-10 Season, the series reached over 2.2 million viewers and was seen in 44 countries. The Met: Live in HD series returns for the fifth season, which begins October 9, 2010, and will feature 12 diverse performances.

Qualified Met members and Scene members will have priority access to tickets before the general public. Don’t miss the chance to experience The Met: Live in HD at your local Cineplex Entertainment movie theatre! Advanced Tickets for Scene and Met Members go on sale Friday, August 27 at theatre box offices. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, September 10 on-line and at the box office.
